評価項目の「柔らかさ」がよく判りませんが、星３つ。 製品は文句ないのですが、ペーパーを差すホルダーが下に向かって少しテーパーで太くなっていますが、使用するペーパーによっては芯が細く、きつくて引っ張っても回ってくれません。 我が家のペーパーの場合、その差は僅かなので、先端の押さえ部分（逆三角錐）をペーパーの芯に突っ込んで拡げると上手く回るようになり、ご機嫌で使用できてます。 まあ、交換時のひと手間なのですが、もう少しホルダーが細ければ言うことなしです。 合うペーパーに替えれば良いのですけど･･･ その点で星4としました。 因みに、我が家のペーパーは、 COOP サステナブル キッチンタオル 芯の内径は、φ38～φ39mm位 先述の逆三角錐の押さえ部分で軽く拡げて、φ40mmにすると問題なく回ります。
