I finally ordered the TEMPUR neck pillow recommended by my friend. She swears by it and and has used hers for many years. Based on my repeated measurements I ordered the medium size pillow. It wasn't comfortable, I returned it and ordered the smaller size. I should have paid more attention to the note...if in between sizes order smaller of the two. The smaller one fits just right, providing needed support to my neck and placing my head in a better position. It works for me both side and back sleeping so my nights are more restful. Before I got this I was switching pillows every time I moved from back to side sleeping at night. The pillow was very firm to start with. I followed suggestions I found online to break it in. I would stand on it and bend it a few times the first few days. Now it feels great.
