The pieces are high shine, the hammered pattern is so pretty and unusual, yet still classic (it looks a bit like honeycomb), each piece is fairly heavyweight and substantial (and together in the box were very heavy!), well-sized and well balanced so they're unlikely to fall off a plate which can happen if cutlery handles outweigh the rest of each piece. I'm not sure if it's 18/0 stainless steel (that's not made clear in the info on here) but it certainly looks and feels like it. I only paid 13.50 for my 24 piece set because it is a 'used' set which certainly looks absolutely brand new (but the box had just been opened and taped back up) but I think it was just returned by a previous buyer if they changed their mind about wanting it. Even the full price is super cheap for such good quality cutlery. In my opinion this set is worth far more. Despite the fact that the item description states it is 'dishwasher safe', I have to say this is not the case! We bought this item a couple of months ago because our current cutlery had become badly tarnished by the dishwasher and we wanted a dishwasher safe set. The first time we put the cutlery through the dishwasher a few of the pieces came out tarnished, despite the fact that we took the cutlery basket out and dried the items as soon as the cycle had finished. Further tarnishing has taken place since. To conclude I would not recommend this product if you are looking for truly dishwasher safe cutlery!
