Unless you have a dual microwave I wouldn’t suggest doing it. Js **Q: Is the enamel used cadmium and lead free?** A: I'm not sure but it's super thin enamel. Poor quality. Go with Lodge. **Q: Where is this made?** A: I don't think there are any enamel plants in the US - perhaps in France? Any company would be better than China. I just don't trust Chinese manufacture of anything that touches my food - they have proven time and again that they do not care one whit about human lives or health. **Q: Can this be used for no kneed bread cooked at 450 degrees?** A: I use mine at 450 and so far works fine. I make bread 2 times a week. I’ve owned the Dutch oven for 2 months now.
