I will update review for longevity but I suggest getting a glass and put an inch of clean water in it. Keep the sensor immersed in clean water when not in use. The automatic pool controllers sensors look a lot like these and if they dry out they oxidize and lose their minds within days. If you do feel like it has lost accuracy the way to clean the automatic ones is a clean toothbrush and clean water... try same procedure.
