It is so user friendly! After two years of fiddling with the metal ball levels and bubble levels on our camp trailer, we needed something better, so we decided to give the Smart Level a try. You can see the lights from the drivers seat, so you don't have to get out of the truck (or have a second person) to go back and check the ball or bubble level. Depending on where the lights shine, it is easy to see how many 1" leveling blocks you will need for leveling side to side. Then by pulling the level out 90°, you can easily see from the trailer tongue how high to raise it for front to back leveling. It's so much quicker and easier now! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This thing is awesome. *by T*** on August 17, 2021* This worked out great. I have only used it a couple of times but I have no complaints. Very neat concept. I mounted mine on the drivers side of the fifth wheel and can see it perfectly in the mirror. Use it to level side to side then fold it flat against the 5'er while unhooking from truck to level front to back. You can also remove the leveler from the mounting bracket if you want to protect it. I remove mine after use and store in the storage compartment of the RV until I need it again. The only thing that would work better is if I had auto levelers which are very costly. This is a cheap way to lessen my frustration and setup time. Just make sure you have it perfectly level when you install the bracket. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good idea but needs better engineering *by L***K on April 3, 2024* It is overall a good product, but you may want to do some shimming and stabilizing to fully trust it. Also, you may want to take it off before driving on the highway or risk losing the cover.Since I have a flat sided trailer, it was easy to mount with the three screws. I would not trust the adhesive in the FL Sun for too long. After mounting it became obvious that there is too much wiggle to give repeatable results that an engineer expects. I removed most of the slop between the mount and the unit with 3-4 layers of electrical tape on the back ears. This helped quite a bit, but there was still room to wiggle. I then put rubber pads between the front corners of the unit and the trailer side. This removed most of the remaining wiggle, but because they are rubber, there is still some wiggle. I think the next step will need to be something less spongy than the rubber pads, but I don't want to scratch the trailer when mounting and removing the unit.I use this unit to get into the ballpark of level, but still jump out and use my 2-foot beam level to confirm things and adjust as needed. If I can remove all of the mount wiggle, I could feel confident with this unit's bubble level. The ideal thing would be to eliminate the mount and screw the unit to the trailer side.My cover came off somewhere in Florida. I have an email into the manufacturer to see if it is ok to keep the unit mounted without the cover. If I need to re-mount the unit at every stop, it makes the unit less valuable.
