The seller agreed to give me a refund. I think there's likely a QC issue with how these stands are made. Edit (Feb 21, 2025): After I left a negative review about this, the company reached out through Amazon and arranged to send me a replacement, which I received very quickly. The replacement stand has been working well so far. The stand stopped charging my iPad after just under 5 months of light use. I suspect this is because one of the three charging pins came loose. Overall, when it works, the stand works well: it is heavy/stable enough to hold up the iPad and doesn't move around when you interact with the screen. A few minor quibbles: - The charging stand is recognized as a keyboard by the iPad, which means the on-screen keyboard takes an extra tap to be pop up when you select a text field.
