Review: Accurate survey by an amateur. - When professional surveyors wanted $7000 to stake out my rural property lines, I sought an alternative. This unit did the job. It is accurate to within a centimeter. In order to operate as a single rover I had to subscribe to an RTK service for achieving that accuracy by tethering to my cell phone internet. The unit does not need to be plumb after initial setup. The RTK service acts as a base. To be accurate without the RTK service requires a second unit set up as a base at a known location.

I'm a site engineer, and I've been using this for about a month now, and I'm very happy. It's very fast at getting a fix and the battery lasts a long time. It's a fraction of the price of similar brands that are used in the UK, but this does exactly the same, or probably more. Not only that, it's got many functions that I need to familiarize myself with. I normally load a CAD drawing and work off that. I have used it for setting out kerbs, ducting and drainage. Furthermore, I used the localization function to set it to the original CAD drawing to achieve mm accuracy. Thank you Singular XYZ, I'm a very happy customer.
