If there is petroleum products in it, that could react negatively to the area around a zipper. It goes on wet and then dries. **Q: Can I used on weight equipment?** A: It should be fine. It has no odor it is a dry lubricant and does not contain silicone **Q: can I use this on a motorcycle engine to help protect from rust?** A: Noy sure if you're referring to the externals on a bike motor...cases, barrels and such or the internals say after a bore job on a barrel. It will work but there are much better choices for protecting engines.
