Simple, sleek, and functional *by M***E on February 6, 2023* This review is for the "SER5 Ryzen 5 5600H Up to 4.2GHz 6C/12T,16GB RAM 500GB SSD" model.I like it. Its small, its quiet, its responsive. The case is nice and has a pretty solid feel. It gave me no issues setting up and getting running. Nor did it have any issue when I partitioned it for a dual-boot setup with Mint Linux. I can't speak to overall capability as I only use it as an HTPC, but I certainly haven't hit any limits yet.Pros:Works as advertised. Good little machine. (that's a rare enough thing nowadays...)Cons:USB plugs are "upside down" meaning that any thumb drives have their lights facing down.Backlight on power switch is very bright. I put a couple layers of tint on it to tone it down.Wi-Fi reception seems a bit weak. My cell phone has a better SNR in the same spot.Good info to have:There's a little rubber tab coming out of the bottom. According to Beelink support, this is NOT to be removed. Its there to facilitate taking off the bottom of the case.The BIOS is very "2000's". Fully functional, but if you ever booted into the bios on your 2005 Compaq, youll be right at home... ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Better than expected *by S***G on June 21, 2024* This computer is a little speed demon. I don't play computer games, but I do some video and audio editing for my wife's YouTube channel, I run livestreams for her as well and this computer has been fantastic. I personally write sci-fi and use a 3D mapping program for keeping track of real-life star systems and this computer handles that program very well. I am running three monitors with no problem. The computer was easy and fast to set up. It handles my 1Gb network very well, getting dowloads of around 850 Mbps and uploads around 950 Mbps. I'm streaming music or movies almost all day long while working and have had no issues. I will note that there can be some fan noise when I am pushing the workload, but that is going to be true with any computer. It is so small that I am able to put the computer on the backside of my desk which all but eliminates hearing the fan noise. it is never as loud as a server, so I can easily deal with it, and with a little music playing, you don't even notice it. Plenty of storage and memory for all my needs. I did add a powered USB hub to add connections for all the extra hardware I use (headphones, scan gun, printer, keyboard, mouse, external hard drive bays, thumb drives, Ubikey, GoPro, WebCam, etc). Everything has been working great and very fast. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ great little media server *by E***X on May 6, 2025* Bought this a year ago. I have been happy with this for my media server during that time.First thing I did was backup and remove Windows (backup in case I had to return this item).It came with a 1T nvme drive. I added a 2T SSD (the literature does not always show that this can be done) and a 2.5g network adapter (USB).I installed Ubuntu server on a small 128G external SSD. On that drive I also installed Plex, Plexamp headless server, and CamillaDSP. The Beelink is hooked to a Topping DAC with USB. All media is on the 1T and 2T drives.It serves video to the connected TVs in the house, music to network connected speakers, and music to the main stereo through the DAC. It never stutters or buffers. The fan can be loud, but I rarely hear it run on high. When not in use it is put to sleep with an SSH command from my phone. Wake-up is from a WOL app.My model has a 5800H cpu with 16G and 1T storage included. Price and performance is much better now after 13 months.
