A whole gel nail kit, PLUS a gel polish kit and the nail prep kit, was less than the cost of one trip to the salon. Using it just one time was going to pay for itself. So I thought ‘what the heck! I’ll give it a try!’ After completing my first set, I was hooked! The gel nail kit comes with everything you need to DIY. The instructions are clearly written and easy to understand and follow. The nail tips (which are full coverage!) are of good quality, and there is a large variety of sizes making it easy to find the right fit for each nail. The 4-in-1 brush-on gel is easy to use and cures quickly with the included light. The included nail drill is light in weight and fits in my hand easily - not bulky or heavy. The speed of the nail drill is easy to adjust and it has both a “forward” and “reverse” direction which is also easily adjusted. After reading many reviews, I did also purchase the nail prep kit (dehydrator and ph bond) to ensure proper adhesion. Like any new skill, it does take practice, but I have now done three sets, NONE of which have chipped, cracked or popped off. With each new set, the process gets easier and easier and I have been able to improve my technique and speed. I have received MULTIPLE compliments on my nails and everyone I’ve told that they were DIY has said they are definitely salon quality. So much so, my daughter and her friend have begged me to do theirs!
