We have a very high platform bed in our guest room. The spread is very well sized and dropped almost to the floor on both sides. Highly recommend.

A: Why not try to dye it a color that will work for you. You can go to You Tube videos and will help you

A: You can but carefully. It is all cotton so I would use 1/2 cup bleach in the washer. I wouldn’t spot bleach for a stain.

**Q: A matelasse is not a quilt. matelasses are woven cotton bedspreads. i’m looking for a white matelasse. is this a matelasse? i’m confused by the respon**
A: Well, this is definitely woven cotton, an ivory color - not white -- but it has definitely been quilted all over.  It is GORGEOUS though -- I am in love with mine.  It is so elegant and inviting -- and so classy looking.

Purchased this in January. Was skeptical about the size and quality since I have purchased a few others and promptly returned as they were not at all as described or looked in the pictures. I assumed this would be just like the previous purchases. Boy, was I WRONG! This is probably best coverlet I have ever purchased!! First, the oversized queen fits my oversized mattress with room to spare! (have purchased “oversized” in the past and have been disappointed) Even after multiple times washing and drying (in the dryer on high heat!) this coverlet retains its shape! My husband is a messy (but sweet) person and I have washed it with Tide and borax several times and each time it comes out white and looks as new as the day I purchased! The weave pattern is very pretty, stitching tightly and so far has remained unraveled and perfect! We have two dogs who love to lounge on the bed and their little nails have not caught on the stitched pattern. It lays nicely on the bed and I couldn’t be more pleased with the quality and durability of this all cotton, WHITE coverlet! Don’t hesitate, buy it TODAY!!
