On my bike it works very well and its a good dosing quality with Shimano STI Race Shifters. Sorry for my German.English. **Q: Will they work with Dura Ace 7700 series 9spd shifters/brakes? I just bought a pair of the 8.4's and there is not enough pull in the brake levers.** A: I use these model brakes with Dura Ace 7800 series brake/shifter levers. They work very well with excellent stopping, brake lever range and modulation. The 7800 series has a similar pull ratio to the 7700 shifters, which I also had before. Before, the rear brake was basically useless, unable to even lock up in a panic stop. Not anymore! Here is what I like the most about the CX9s:1) Braking strength is outstanding, even with provided pads.2) 90mm arms means more than enough clearance for huge CX tires.
