Review: According to My Mom This is How Clocks Used to Be - It is great, but I didn't know that this is how clocks were back in the late 1900's until my Mom let me know. It's absolutely quiet, perfect for an office space like the one I've put mine in. The only noise it makes is a small "click" a few seconds after the time flips, another as the card changes, and another a few moments later. I love the green color as well, it looks exactly as it was depicted. Once I set the time in line with my phone it has remained accurate. The only thing I don't like, which isn't enough to knock off a star, is how flimsy the battery springs are. It was actually a little bit difficult to install the batteries because the springs kinda just. . .moved out of the way? I got them in though, I will update my review once I find out how long they last. I assume it will be a while, I can't imagine that this takes up too much power. It doesn't have any lights or backlighting. Very happy with it.
Review: The minutes work. But the hour side insists it’s always 11 - I like the idea of this clock. I like the retro look of it. I like the ticking sound every time the minute side flips. But no matter how many times I try to reset it the hour side gets to 11 and stops. I’ve been too lazy to try to return it, and I honestly like the little click it makes every minute—it reminds me of my grandparents’ house. But I just use other clocks to check the time, and when I finally get around to replacing this one I won’t be so cheap about it.
