They are used to pull the battery out when removing it from the camera. **Q: Are these compatible with Vivitar dvr 914hd** A: If it's £44 for 4K camera, I believe it is made in China. Which means, yes, it will fit as all of them are the same camera with different names and that's it. Also, the sensor probably is Sony 2K with some software adjustment to "4K". The charger makes contacts with the batteries okay. One star dropped , because it doesn't seem to charge the existing battery I got with my SJ4000, but it charges the batteries that it was supplied with .
