This is not true. U.S. customers are used to 14K gold jewelry which is not "pure gold". It is mixed with silver. This watch is a lovely, buttery gold which looks more like 18K or higher. The photo has the watch next to a 24K bracelet. The two look nice together on the wrist. Also, someone said the "links were made of plastic" . Well that is not true either. My husband took of two links for it to fit my wrist and it took him 15 minutes and he said the links are metal. The watch is lovely!
