My eyesight is not what it used to be, so I am being aided in threading by using a very inexpensive threader; however, the gold tip is much easier to see while threading even with black thread. I will repeat: the eye of the needle is plenty large enough for the fine threader, and a number 8 pearl cotton slides right through. These needles are plenty long enough for my purpose—no hand cramps at all. They are also a great deal for a dozen well-packaged set. I’m also impressed with the capped, glass bottle in which to store. With this many needles of the same size, I can stay tying longer by threading multiple needles between each tying session.
