Perfect for seedlings and cuttings, it promotes healthy root development by drying between waterings and enabling early nutrient feeding. Trusted by gardeners for its quality and bulk supply, it’s ideal for container plants and outdoor gardening projects. ## Description Mother Earth® Perlite Natural is an expertly crafted media. It can be used for seedlings as soon as the seeds germinate and for cuttings once roots appear. When watering let mix dry to the touch between waterings. Do not allow plants to sit in drainage water. Outdoor container plants require frequent watering-as often as once per day in heat, especially under dry conditions. To avoid compaction and to replenish nutrients, all container plants should be repotted annually. Size 3 large and coarse has a main ingredient of Perlite with net contents of 4 CU FT (113.2L). Review: HIGHEST QUALITY PERLITE FOR CONTAINERIZED FRUIT TREES - Both, sizes 3 and 4 are outstanding for mixing your own mineral based potting medium. They are the only truly chunky perlite that I have been able to find on the market. They provide great permeability/aeration for fruit trees and are heavy enough so that they don't all float to the top when you water. I've used them in 25 gallon containers with mango and avocado trees and after three years, there's been no compaction. I wish I purchased 10 more bags of this before price hikes made this untenable. Review: Worth The Money - Best perlite I've bought, nice and corse and chunky. Priced very well for the quanity. ## Features - Mother Earth Perlite Natural is an expertly crafted media - Let mix dry to the touch between waterings - If used for seedlings, feeding should start as soon as the seeds germinate - If used for cuttings, feeding should start once roots appear - Size 3 large and coarse net contents contain 4 CU FT (113.2 L) ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0D326N5HN | | Best Sellers Rank | #109,702 in Patio, Lawn & Garden ( See Top 100 in Patio, Lawn & Garden ) #707 in Garden Soil | | Brand | Mother Earth Products | | Brand Name | Mother Earth Products | | Customer Reviews | 4.9 out of 5 stars 49 Reviews | | Item Type Name | Mother Earth Perlite Natural | | Item Weight | 27 pounds | | Manufacturer | Hawthorne Hydroponics | | Manufacturer Part Number | HGC715008 | | Model Number | HGC715008 | | Style | Modern | | Style Name | Modern | | UPC | 849969000177 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Volume | 4 cubic feet | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Mother Earth Products - **Item Weight:** 27 Pounds - **Style:** Modern - **UPC:** 849969000177 - **Unit Count:** 1.0 Count ## Images ![Mother Earth Perlite Natural, Size 3 Large and Coarse, 4 cu. ft. - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81xh8koOg2L.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ HIGHEST QUALITY PERLITE FOR CONTAINERIZED FRUIT TREES *by K***N on January 30, 2026* Both, sizes 3 and 4 are outstanding for mixing your own mineral based potting medium.
