The length of the cord allows me to place my desk anywhere in my small office space without fear of being too far from an outlet. (We live in a pre-war apartment where there aren't many outlets per room.) My only gripe with it is the USB charging ports. I usually charge an iPad at my desk, or my Pixel Buds/AirPods, or my phone.
