The stand is made from some very lightweight material under the felt, and thus even the six incorporated sorting drawers and the fold-out cantilever stand don't add much weight. The drawers with their little fabric pulls stay in with the friction of the felt alone, and there is a cover for the jigsaw to keep bits from going missing. The only oversight in to design is that the felt covering is too tactile to slide puzzle pieces about on, as they get stuck in the fibres.
