Since they're not perishable, they can last years, and the per-bag cost is half what I find in supermarkets.They're very sturdy, and the large size allows for storing large quantities of frozen foods for extended periods. (For example, I make large amounts of cookie dough, and freeze portions in separate Ziploc bags for use whenever the munchies attack).Beyond the food storage uses, I find them very useful for organizing all kinds of other things in my home, from desk supplies to smaller electronic devices that I'm not using all the time.
