MADE IN CHINA. *by N***E on Reviewed in the United States on November 14, 2017* A total disappointment!! I've been wanting a pair of slip on boots, or Wellingtons, for a while now for the convenience and thought these looked pretty "rugged" for the terrain I work in. Its an outdoor construction job with a lot of mud and sand and wet areas with standing water. The toe cover that looks like a hard piece of plastic is made of a rubber bumper cover that tore and now has a gash in it by simply dropping something on it. I had them for 4 days at the time and now going on 2 weeks!! The customer service is non-existent! The leather is nice, and they fit okay, a little tight getting my foot in, (size 9D), but the toe cover is not really meant for "work" boots. I've been wearing Thorogood's for about 10 years now, the "made in the USA" brand is now gone because these are made in China. Its just disappointing. The "American Heritage" line if Thorogood's are made in the USA. If you do any kind of lifting or walking on rough, uneven terrain, these boots will hurt your feet. Listen, I'm just being honest. I am COMPLETELEY let down with these boots. I was very excited when I ordered them, after wearing them for 2 weeks, my feet hurt at the end of the day and I cant WAIT to get them off. My American Heritage 8" Moc toe were THE most comfortable boot EVER!! Felt like I was wearing a sneaker. However, I'll give credit where its due..... these boots are waterproof and I'll give them 1 star for that and they are made of nice leather and they get 1 star for that. Anything else.......Total Disappointment. If they weren't so expensive, I'd throw them away and buy another pair of a different brand of Wellington boot. Yeah....I think they're that bad. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Runs small *by C***. on Reviewed in the United States on March 1, 2018* The good first. The leather and materials used on the exterior of the boot are great no issues. I have been wearing these boots for about 4 months now and see really no signs of wear. I work in a highly industrial environment and typically go through boots in six months. Machinery installation.Very high quality materials on the exterior.Now the bad. I have worn a size 12 D or regular width since I was 12 years old. Being a steel toed boot I thought for the first time maybe I should order a 12 wide. In my mid 40'S now and I think my feet are naturally Widing a bit. With that said, these boots at the toe line and underneath the cap are far too narrow. I think it has to do with the design, rather than overlay the rubber toe cap the designers chose to infuse it flush with the leather. This makes the situation where there is no room for stretching or expansion as you wear in the boots. In all honesty, I love the boots, I love the look, I love the exterior quality, but I dread putting them on every single morning and really can't rationalize spending another $150 on boots this soon. My toes are certainly paying the price for a bad design. Blisters and calluses like I have never had before in my life. I should have returned them on day one but you know how that goes once you wear a pair of boots and you're out of town There's no way to return them. I figured they would stretch a bit and fit beautifully but with regard to the toe area this is not the case. I am not looking for a pity party, just wanted to let folks know that if you're considering these boots they run narrow especially in the toe area. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I wear a 9.5 D. Got a 9.5 W and they fit as expected. I wear doubke socks *by V***O on Reviewed in the United States on October 25, 2018* These are Awesome! I work out in the oilfields and it gets muddy and slippery. Walking up stairs and in oil was easy. I don't feel any slipping at all. Being that they were new I expected my feet too hurt until I broke them in like any other boot. I've had Redwings and a few Ariat. By far these out beat them.
