Keeps charge well. Review: Great so far! - I bought 2 GBA SP replacement batteries from 2 different companies, this one and another with the same advertised 850mah. I did not use a volt meter or any of that, what I did was crazy, some might say too crazy... I played Pokemon Red on each battery until it the battery died, this is my story. I read on the store page on one of the batteries to leave it plugged into the charger for 12 hours, so after I installed each battery in a GBA SP I did that for both. I did not power on or unplug and replug it to the charger because the charging light turned off, I just left it plugged in and sitting for 12 full hours. Then I played the SP with the battery from the other company first and I timed it. I had the screen light on at all times and had the volume at about half. It played till 4hours 42min before the red low battery indicator came on and it completely died and shut off at 5hours 19min. (Note that for this battery the packaging is the same as ot was pictured in the product listing, but the battery itself has a different label and it had a different colored and different length screw driver. Since no one else has submitted photos in their reviews of that product I cannot be sure if this is indicative of a product change, or if the company does not actually manufacture the product and just buys any batteries they can get wholesale and puts them in their own packaging.) The following day I did the same test for the battery listed on this product page, also using the same settings with the screen light on the entire time and the volume at about half. This battery had very similar results with the red low battery indicator coming on at 4hours 38min and it was completely dead at 5hours 11min. (I would like to note that the product I received for this battery looked exactly as the product is pictured on the product page and looks the same as what other users have posted in their reviews.) I would say that the battery life for both batteries were close enough that I would say they perform the same and they definitely good enough for my needs and well worth the 10-15 dollars. I would also like to note that if you play an actual GBA game that has brighter colors and more/better animations, you might experience less battery life because those games are more resource intensive for your GBA SP. I have also seen some people complain about their batteries being defecting and/or having issues with rapid battery degradation, if I personally have any of those issues, I will update my reviews.
