It originally had plastic bridge and nut. Since I decided to refurbish the guitar with new frets, tuners, and strings; I decided to see if brass would be a decent upgrade. Well, it was a great choice. The guitar has better highs and longer sustain. The brass seems to have increased the sound within the body of the guitar.As with all new saddle and nuts, these needed altered to work best with the guitar. Cutting the nut and shorting the saddle will be a necessity.I am happy with the outcome.Maybe next I will try bone or Tusq. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Seems like real brass under the silly plating *by D***M on October 19, 2020* Takes a lot of effort to sand and shape, don’t know why they even bother gold plating when 99.99% of the time you’re going to have to resize it to your preferred string height. Under the plating it does seem to be real brass it’s bright freshly sanded then darkens up a bit with patina. The string grooves are a tad bit of a pain without the right files, used a cheap file set and it takes so much patience. Still haven’t fully adjusted it 😅 I’ve pretty much say it aside not sure when I’m going to get back to it. The bridge is too thin for my guitar too much roll, so I can’t use it.Didn’t realize how much work I was in store for when I got this.
