USB from your Akai to your computer. Main output from Model D to your mic input on your interface. USB from interface to computer. If you don't have an interface there is a USB from the Model D which should go to the computer. Make sure your Akai is on the same MIDI channel as the Model D. That's easy to overlook or change accidentally. Make sure your computer preferences AND your DAW preferences recognize your interface device if used.
