Solid build. Things to keep in mind if it does get noisy there's two things . 1: the propeller needs to be cleaned. Easy to remove clean add some petroleum jelly and re attach . 2: there's something loose in the bottom of the canister. Maybe sand or carbon etc. Just have to remove it from cleaning the inside. Will update after 6 months and into a year for dependability. So far im very impressed. Quiet and easy to use and take apart for cleaning. Using filter for a 75 gallon outdoor above ground pond. Pond had so much algae that accumulated on walls and throughout (over the winter- kept pond temperature between 40-43 degrees), could not see through the water; it was like green soup!
