Review: My little OCD cleaner - 2020 One Year UPDATE - One year update: I bought my 2 Eufys Aug. 2019 and use them once a week or every two weeks and have come across some quirks. The most recent quirk is Eufy just stopping in the middle of a room with the blue light still on and no error beeps. Apparently, it stops for no reason. I hit the remote start and it continues its job. Another quirk is stopping and beeping with blinking light for some reason (keep your manual handy) and once was because of the front Pivot wheel not moving because of hair being wound around it. I popped the wheel off, cleaned out the hair, reset Eufy by pushing the reset button on the bottom and it then worked fine. Another quirk was getting to the stairs and for some reason couldn't turn around and started beeping. That time I just wiped the three sensors on the bottom and reset it and it was fine after that. One day, it just continually stopped for no reason that I could find. It just stops, no beeping and still fully charged. I just kept resetting it with the bottom reset button until it finally finished the room. That happened about 10 times that day. Over the winter, I had a stray cat decide she wanted to live with me, so now I have a cat with long hair and she sheds a lot. Eufy doesn't pick up large tufts of her hair from my rugs, so I use a hair mit on the worst spots on my rugs and then Eufy does a fine job on the rugs. Another tip, try using your magnet strips to divide up larger rooms. I ended up having to do that in my living room because otherwise it took forever for Eufy to hit every area. Now I divide it in half. When one half looks complete, I pick up Eufy and put it in the other half. That works well! Also, your magnet strips can be stuck to the side of your refrigerator for storage! I find that very handy. :) You really do need to clean Eufy between charges. I have my system broken down into Living room and kitchen. Clean and charge (about 4.5 hours), then the hallway, bathroom, bedroom. Clean it and charge. Then lastly, my office/sewing room. Clean it and charge. It takes only 5- 10 minutes to clean it between uses. I'm still thrilled I have these Eufys and have decided I will never be without a Robo Vac - ever. And hopefully Eufy will still be around when I need a replacement. I bought these partly because of the Anker name. I've bought other Anker products for years and they're always made well. End of update. I bought two of these yesterday with the Deal of the day and received them today. They both took about 3 hours to fully charge and then it was off to the races. One went downstairs and the other one upstairs. I left the Eufy downstairs in the basement to do its thing on low pile carpet and tile and went down to check on it periodically. Twice I found it stuck in strange places. One was on top of a small table base and the other was lodged next to my furnace. I'll just have to block those two areas next time. The one upstairs was in my kitchen for a good 45 minutes to an hour! OCD I'd say, but my kitchen is nice and clean. :) Rugs included. These do an excellent job with edge cleaning. The one in the kitchen miraculously followed the curves in the pedestal base on the table. Pretty cool. It also traveled over all my wood floor vent covers which is pretty impressive because they're pretty thick! It also fits under most of my furniture. I sent a Roomba back years ago because it wouldn't fit under my sofa, loveseat and tables. That made it useless for me. These fit under everything except a lowboy chest and 3 smaller tables in my living room...Swiffer will take care of those. The drop sensors worked perfectly at the stairs. It turned around instead of going down. The upstairs Eufy finished my kitchen, living room, entryway and was in the bathroom when the red light came on and is now charging. Both Eufys ran for the 100 minutes as stated in the manual. I emptied the upstairs bin twice, but only because I had stopped the Eufy to get it out of the kitchen and before I sent it to charge. The bin wasn't full either time, but had plenty of dirt and fuzz in it, so I'm happy with that! I decided I'm not programming a schedule because I don't need my house cleaned daily. It's just me here and no pets anymore, so I will manually turn them on once or twice a week. I did pick EVERYTHING up off my floors for this first cleaning, but that's just not ever going to happen again. It was a PIA and I could have vacuumed my entire house in the time it took to clear the floors. I'll leave the cords zip tied, but everything else is staying put next time. All that work defeats the purpose of having these. I am THRILLED TO DEATH with these though. Vacuuming is one of my least favorite chores. These will definitely be used weekly and I look forward to watching them work instead of me! Also, these are sooooo quiet. You can't even hear where they are in the same room as you if they're cleaning underneath something. I'm so glad I bought them and at an excellent price. The exorbitantly expensive robo vacs are just not feasible for me. Maybe if they had a 20 year life span, they would be, but they don't. I'm also not into controlling everything through a stupid app or WiFi. Don't need those and don't want those. I don't need NHS knowing when I'm vacuuming my house. These were worth every cent, IMO Great little vacs!
Review: This thing works way better than expected - November 1, 2020 update One of my two Eufy 30C vacuums began badly malfunctioning well within the warranty period. I contacted Eufy support, and after demonstrating the malfunction (spinning in circles continuously forever), Eufy sent out a brand new replacement that I received within two days of Eufy accepting the warranty issue. Pretty amazing. The best part though is that the replacement vacuum clearly has better programming and probably improved hardware. It can now selectively disable the sweeper brushes when it senses that they are caught on something which is a frequent occurrence in our house. This is a very important benefit because without this ability, the gears on the sweeper brushes skip when a brush gets stuck and eventually the gear teeth round off allowing the sweeper brushes to stop spinning on even the slightest obstacle. Another benefit is that this updated version seems to be able to better avoid getting stuck at drop offs. It also seems to have an updated algorithm for is vacuuming pattern, although I'm not sure that the altered algorithm is improved. I've found that in our dining room the vacuum spends an inordinately large amount of time around the dining table, and it actually seems to sometimes be unable to find its way out of fairly tight confines. Overall, the updated firmware/hardware make this a much better vacuum, and I've updated my rating of it to 5 stars. There are still things that could be better, but for the price, this vacuum is awesome. October 4, 2020 update: We bought two of these - one for the upper floor and one for the lower floor. The one on the upper floor gets way more use, and its starting to go bad. One of the side/edge brushes easily is stopped from spinning (drive gear is likely become stripped), and the vacuum often start spinning in a circle with nothing blocking it. Now happens every time we use it. This is a common problem, and some people have found that this is correlated to there being debris in the mechanism of the center gimbal wheel. Not for mine though. I have also cleaned all the sensor windows multiple times. Power-cycling the vacuum usually fixes the issue temporarily. Its currently spinning in a circle as I write this. Was good while it lasted. Hoping the warranty is good. Original review: We've only had this thing for about a week, but in that one week, its done way better than I expected. We vacuum every other week with an upright cord vacuum, and since robovacs have relatively low suction power and flow rate, I wasn't expecting it to find much of anything, but to my surprise, its vacuumed up tons of cat hair and fine dirt, and larger debris. Immediately after the vacuum reaches full charge, I set it loose in some part of the house. Its been run through each room multiple times now, and it keeps finding stuff. And I clean the dust bin and shake out the filter after each run, so I know exactly what its finding. Its very impressive, especially for the sale price. If it lasts even six months before breaking, it will have been worth it. Here are the positives: - Probably the best thing about it is the ability to clean under beds and other furniture that can't easily be cleaned with a conventional vacuum. - It does a good job of cleaning in other hard to reach places. - We have a piano in the house, and I watched carefully to see if it would damage it, but so far, it hasn't marred it. This robovac has a rubber bumper, and it requires only a light touch (or no touch) to get it to change direction. - The wifi feature is great for notifying the user when the Eufy is fully charged or when its stuck. - It catches way more stuff than I ever expected. Neutral aspects: - It cannot see toys, cords, clothing, and any other small items on the floor, and it will easily get stuck on these items, so a room has to be prepped before letting the Eufy loose in it. In a way this is a positive feature because it forces the user to tidy up the floor area. - It takes about 3-4 hours to charge. Some negatives: - It does good at sensing ledges that have a hard edge like an uncarpeted step down, but we have a single step down in our living room that's carpeted, and the Eufy gets stuck on it all the time. - It routinely gets stuck under toe kicks in the kitchen and in our master bath. - It has a hard time getting onto some our throw rugs. Its not an issue of tassels but rather, the debris gathering spinners at the front work their way under the throw rug, and this prevents the Eufy from being able to drive onto the throw rug. - The fact that the Eufy will notify you via wifi and a beep when its stuck is great, but it gets stuck multiple times during a cleaning run, so it can't be left to run unattended, at least not in our house. - It will only find its way back to the charging base if its relatively close, perhaps only within 15 feet. - It does not get anywhere close to 100 minutes on a full charge. We are consistently seeing only 30-40 minutes max.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ I love my machine but..
*by T***S on May 17, 2026*

It has been a few weeks since I bought this and I'm really happy with it so far, but here are a few things worth knowing if you are looking into buying a machine like this. This is a great machine and I have no problems with it however there is an "updated" model available from the same manufacturer with a different kind of mopping system. It uses a drum instead of discs and as the price differential is not much it may be worth considering. I have not used one so I cannot comment on it. SETUP The machine is heavy (26lbs) so if this seems a bit much for you you may want help getting it into the house and set up. Apart from the safety booklet the machine comes with no instructions. A PDF can be viewed and downloaded from their website. I would recommend reading these while waiting for your unit to arrive. Additionally the machine works from an app which can be downloaded from whichever app store you use. One of the first things you will do when setting up the system is mapping out your house, just a little pointer, floor length mirrors can confuse the system. I ended up with extra rooms where the closet doors were. This is not a huge problem either you can cover the mirrors when mapping or set the extra rooms as a no go zone within the app. There are many cleaning settings available within the app and I suggest playing with them until you find somethings that suits your needs perfectly. Eufy does use its own brand of cleaning solution for mopping the floors, unfortunately you don't get any when you order the machine, it can be ordered on amazon. Two capfulls of solution to each gallon of water works well. CLEANING. Within the app you can set it to clean the entire house, any particular room or rooms or even a zone. The robot itself is surprisingly quiet as it goes about it's tasks. We have tile floors and the there is a a little noise as the wheels go over the grout lines but we don't find it intrusive. Within the app you can set how often the robot returns to base in order to clean the mop and empty the dustbin, (the default is every 15 minutes). This is when you will hear the loudest noise as the machine empties the dustbin it will be as loud as a regular Vacuum cleaner for about 20 seconds or so. You can also set do not disturb times. The machine will skip this step, however you will have to empty the dustbin later. As I mentioned I have tiled floor and the machine does a good job at keeping it clean. When it comes to a rug it automatically switches to vacuum only and again it does a decent job. After it has done it's assigned task it will return home clean itself up and dry the mop heads. As with everything the machine will need a little maintenance now and again. The app will show you when the to do maintenance and a video of how to do it. Overview I am very happy with my purchase and with the cleaning results. Although the lack of instructions could be forgiven (not wanting to use paper) I feel that including a bottle of cleaning solution is not much of an ask when you are spending several hundred dollars on a cleaning machine. It is for this reason i dropped a star.
