## Description

Product Description Neilmed Sinus Rinse Starter Kit (Pack of 2) Ingredients Sodium Chloride & Sodium Bicarbonate (USP Grade). Directions Use Only As Directed,If Symptoms Persist See Your Doctor/Healthcare Professional. Always Read The Label. Step 1 Please Wash Your Hands. Fill The Clean Bottle With The Designated Volume Of Either Distilled,Micro-Filtered (Through 0.2 Micron Filter),Commercially Bottled Or Previously Boiled And Cooled Down Water. Always Rinse Your Nasal Passages With Neilmed Sinus Rinse Packets Only. Our Packets Contain A Mixture Of Usp Grade Sodium Chloride And Sodium Bicarbonate. These Ingredients Are Of The Purest Quality Available To Make The Dry Powder Mixture. Rinsing Your Nasal Passages With Only Plain Water Without Our Mixture Will Result In A Severe Burning Sensation As The Plain Water Is Not Physiologic For Your Nasal Lining,Even If It Is Appropriate For Drinking. Additionally,For Your Safety,Do Not Use Tap Or Faucet Water For Dissolving The Mixture Unless It Has Been Previously Boiled For Five Minutes Or More As Boiling Sterilizes The Water. Other Choices Are Distilled,Micro-Filtered (Through 0.2 Micron),Commercially Bottled Or,As Mentioned Earlier,Previously Boiled Water At Lukewarm Or Body Temperature. You Can Store Boiled Water In A Clean Container For Seven Days Or More If Refrigerated. Do Not Use Non-Chlorinated Or Non-Ultra (0.2 Micron) Filtered Well Water Unless It Is Boiled And Then Cooled To Lukewarm Or Body Temperature. *You May Warm The Water In A Microwave In Increments Of 5 To 10 Seconds To Avoid Overheating The Water,Damaging The Device Or Scalding Your Nasal Passage. Step 2 Cut The Sinus Rinse Mixture Packet At The Corner And Pour Its Contents Into The Bottle. Tighten The Cap And Tube On The Bottle Securely. Place One Finger Over The Tip Of The Cap And Shake The Bottle Gently To Dissolve The Mixture. Step 3 Standing In Front Of A Sink,Bend Forward To Your Comfort Level And Tilt Your Head Down. Keeping Your Mouth Open,Without Holding Your Breath,Place The Cap Snugly Against Your Nasal Passage. Squeeze Bottle Gently Until The Solution Starts Draining From The Opposite Nasal Passage. Some May Drain From Your Mouth. For A Proper Rinse,Keep Squeezing The Bottle Gently Until At Least 1/4 To 1/2 (60 Ml To 120 Ml Or 2 To 4 Fl Oz) Of The Bottle Is Used. Do Not Swallow The Solution. Step 4 Blow Your Nose Very Gently,Without Pinching Nose Completely To Avoid Pressure On Eardrums. If Tolerable,Sniff In Gently Any Residual Solution Remaining In The Nasal Passage Once Or Twice,Because This May Clean Out The Posterior Nasopharyngeal Area,Which Is The Area At The Back Of Your Nasal Passage. At Times,Some Solution Will Reach The Back Of Your Throat,So Please Spit It Out. To Help Drain Any Residual Solution,Blow Your Nose Gently While Tilting Your Head Forward And To The Opposite Side Of The Nasal Passage You Just Rinsed. Step 5 Now Repeat Steps 3 And 4 For Your Other Nasal Passage. Most Users Find That Rinsing Twice A Day Is Beneficial,Similar To Brushing Your Teeth. Many Doctors Recommend Rinsing 3-4 Times Daily Or For Special Circumstances,Even Rinsing Up To 6 Times A Day Is Safe. Please Follow Your Physician’S Advice. Step 6 Clean The Bottle And Cap. Air Dry The Sinus Rinse Bottle,Cap,And Tube On A Clean Paper Towel,A Lint Free Towel,Or Use Neilmed Nasadock Or Nasadock Plus (Sold Separately) To Store The Bottle,Cap And Tube. It Is Very Important To Keep These Devices Clean And Free From Any Contamination.Replace The Bottle Every 3 Months.

Review: works great - Though I am not a nasal rinse fan, this product has been the one that I use, I tried others but always return to using this one as it works best for me
Review: happy to have found this package size - I've been using the Neilmed Sinus Rinse system for years and years. I have allergies and sinus issues and I don't like to take a lot of decongestants (I'm on blood pressure medication), but this product helps clear things out and doesn't affect the blood pressure. When I don't use it for a week or so, my nose gets all clogged and feels pretty gross (I recently had oral surgery with excessive bleeding afterwards, and I didn't use this during that time and for about a week after, so I've experienced this recently). After 2-3 days of using this in the morning, though, I am good to go again. I have recently gotten my husband into at least occasional use of the sinus rinse system, mostly after he has done yard work (where he is exposed to pollen) or has been sanding something in the basement (even though he also wears a mask). He doesn't have the same allergy problems I do, but he doesn't like to take a lot of medication and this works when he needs it to. I was definitely happy to find the two pack of bottles (this is not an item you want to share) without a ridiculous number of salt packets, because I already have a couple of open bags of refill packets in the kitchen, and I didn't want to accumulate more. Now my husband and I can each have new ones (we don't replace every 90 days as recommended, but maybe every 5 or 6 months). I only use the sinus rinse in the morning. I find that if I do it at night, and I do it too late, I have drainage down the back of my throat, and I can never remember to use it like an hour before bed (which would be fine). So mornings it is. I keep a big jug of distilled water in the kitchen exclusively for sinus rinsing. There are sometimes things in municipal water supplies that are fine to ingest orally but that you don't really want to shoot into your head up close to your brain. I microwave the water in the main body of the sinus rinse container for 30 seconds, add my salt packet, shake, and wait until the temperature is comfortable before rinsing. I would definitely not recommend doing this with cold water. Anyway, this is a convenient package size of a product I'm a longtime fan of. Definitely glad I found it.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can you use it for a child/ toddler?**
A: I would say definitely " no" your child would be very frightened by how the salty liquid can go back into his or her throat ..

**Q: What is the volume , size?**
A: It hold 8 oz of water and is about 6" high with the cap on.

**Q: Can i use my leftover packets from my neti pot in this bottle**
A: Yes!

**Q: Need to wash the bottle with dishwashing soap before using the bottle for the first time?**
A: I've had two of them and I never washed either one of them with dishwashing soap before using them. I just rinsed them out well with hot water. Also, I wouldn't recommend washing them out with soap of any kind. If any of the soap residue got into your sinuses, it would probably hurt.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Even using it for years
*by V***Y on 3 September 2024*

If you have bad breath, lots of drainage in throat and nasally you need to try this. I use distilled water from a jug because my doctor told me NOT To use tap water. I warm it up in the microwave for 20 seconds then I add the salt packet and I have medication. Just shake it up and lean over the sink. Squeeze 1/2 in each nare. Then I lean my head over the sink and tilt my head side to side to get the solution out. It stops the drainage from your throat and helps with that nasty taste and breathe you get form allergy drainage. Warming the water a bit and using the salt packets prevents burning in nares. And using regularly truly does help. Trust me. The bottle is good quality plastic it last forever I usually buy a new one every 6-8 months because of infections I get but if you are just using this for allergies and keep it clean turn it over after use to dry it will last along time. Great product!!
