Review: Love these babies! - I am very happy with these copper bottles. The very first bottle I ordered came in with the outside surface of the bottle lacquered and a lacquered lid. I work with water and didn't want the water I drink to come in contact with lacquer. Also, I wanted my skin to come in direct contact with copper for reasons I will explain below. I contacted the seller and he responded in no time offering me not only a replacement bottle but also added two other bottles to my order free of charge. I would have ordered two additional bottles anyways because the bottles themselves are absolutely awesome. I love that they are of high-quality copper and are very aesthetically pleasing to the eye. So when I asked Fredrik whether he could manufacture bottles without lacquer for me he agreed to send me custom-made bottles. Surprisingly, I received them with DHL in literally three days from India. As a side-note, for those concerned about the bottle changing color over time, I personally don't mind that my bottles oxidize as oxidation is a natural property of copper. Copper is biostatic as well as antibacterial which means that parasitic forms of life cannot breed on copper. If you think, copper doorknobs are used by hospitals to reduce the transfer of disease because copper was proven to kill disease-causing bacteria close to 100%. It takes only two to three hours for water contained in pure copper to disinfect so these bottles are ideal for anyone who lives in areas where water is contaminated and they don't immediately have access to purified water. Pretty much all tap water is infected with parasites anyways so for that reason alone I'd use copper to sanitize drinking water. The size of these bottles is just perfect for me as well. They are about 970ml each.
