There are three relatively minor flaws in it. One is that the built in Compass is basically a waste of time. It is inconsistent and inaccurate. But that function is not the main purpose of the stopwatch. Another flaw is that it appears that there is no way to replace the battery. There is no battery compartment cover, and I am not about to remove the assembly screws to find out if the battery is soldered in or is replaceable. But then again, the item is only six dollars US. If it lasts two or more years, it is not an extravagance to simply order a new one, if the price remains in the same ballpark. There is potentially another drawback and that is that it cannot be turned off. Which may be a problem with respect to battery life. I don’t know that yet. It is accurate. I have a stopwatch app on my phone. A phone is just not a good option ergonomically, and it has other drawbacks. (Ads being one of them) Which is why I ordered the stopwatch. Anyway, I started the two simultaneously, and stopped them (Simultaneously) at the 7-minute mark. This stopwatch read 7.00.12 and the phone app read 7.00.126. I would say that is basically identical. I haven’t tried the other functions because I have no need for them. I will say that the reviews that say that you can’t stop the hourly chime are either lying or are technically challenged. It tells you right on the instructions how to do that. It is the last instruction. The only thing that it doesn’t do is to indicate if the presence/absence of the horizontal dashes reflects whether the alarm is on or off. Spoiler’s alert. The absence of the dashes reflects that the hourly alarm is off.
