Review: Very Impressed and so Comfy - Wow this chair is so comfy and helps my bad back, plus retractable arm rests which are also very useful, im very impressed with the quality and materials, defo value for the money, easy to put together, plus a handy quality tool to put it together, the size is perfect and not bulky and looks perfect in my room, adjustment is simple to do with the height
Review: Great upgrade from gaming chairs: comfy, supportive, stylish, and incredible value - I've been using "gaming" chairs for the past 6 years, and the Colamy Hina is my first proper ergonomic chair. Honestly, I'm really pleased with it. At first, I had doubts — mainly about how the mesh would feel and whether the seat would be comfortable — but it’s exceeded expectations. Here's a breakdown of my experience so far: Mesh Quality: Feels great. It's not plasticky or rough like I feared. It’s breathable and holds up well. Back Support: There’s an S-curve lumbar support. It’s not overly aggressive, so it doesn’t dig into your back, but still helps maintain good posture. I do wish it sat a bit higher, but it still feels great overall. Seat Comfort: Coming from bulky gaming chairs, the seat initially felt small — but it’s adjustable and extends fully, which worked well for me. It's firm, not plush, but surprisingly comfortable even for long sessions (I sit at my desk 5–10 hours a day). Posture + Lounging: I bought this to help with posture, and it’s definitely helping. That said, I also like to lean back and lounge, and this chair holds up effortlessly even with full weight on the backrest and my feet up. It's solid and sturdy. Mobility: I have carpet flooring and the chair rolls easily when I want it to, but stays in place when I don't — perfect balance. Desk Fit: My desk is quite low (70cm), so I keep the chair and armrests at their lowest. No issues — I still maintain good posture and leg comfort. Flexibility: I like to sit cross-legged or with one leg tucked under me — this chair allows for that easily. The separated armrests and extendable seat give you a lot of freedom to shift around. Extra Use – Sim Racing: I occasionally do casual sim racing at my desk. I was unsure how this chair would handle it, but it’s actually more comfortable than my old gaming chair — and the breathable mesh helps a lot during long/hot sessions. Looks: The design is sleek and modern. I went for the black base with metallic supports, and it fits in beautifully with my setup. It adds a clean, stylish touch to the room without looking too “office-y.” Value for Money: After reading tons of reviews and professional viewpoints, it became clear that most good ergonomic chairs tend to cost upwards of £500. This chair, especially being a newer release from Colamy, is incredibly impressive for around £200 (on discount). You get a lot of adjustability, comfort, and build quality for a fraction of the usual cost. Final Thoughts: Fantastic value, premium feel, and a huge upgrade in comfort and support, especially if you're switching from a gaming chair. Highly recommend it if you want ergonomic benefits without spending a fortune.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Overall good, well made, easy to assemble and comfy
*by G***F on 20 July 2025*

Positives: Easy to assemble. Good instructions although as with most instructions these days, the print is so tiny that you need a magnifying glass to read them. Generally sturdy and seems well made, with a metal base and strong plastic parts. A couple of spare screws are provided. I've only just bought it but so far there's no creaking when I sit or lean back. The seat is wide enough for me as a big dude, and even if you're up to the weight limit of 300lb I'd guess that you'd probably have enough room on the width, although the seat could do with moving further forwards. Negatives: The backrest tilt doesn't tilt the seat too. It feels ok, although I cannot do the same rocking motion like I did with my old gaming chair. Although the seat is adjustable, I'd like it to move forwards more than it does. I have it at the maximum and it's just about ok for me, but if you were nearer to the 300lb max load for the chair and with a fat butt, you may find it's a little uncomfortable. Minor points: The headrest rattles when you move around. It's not bad but might become annoying. It's just not a very solid part of the chair. It's likely some blue tack would fix it though so hopefully not a big problem. The backrest tilt adjustment doesn't go stiff enough, although you can lock it in one position. It's just about good enough but I wish it went slightly stiffer (the actress said to the Bishop). Armrests aren't very cushioned. They have cushioning but it's so tight that it doesn't feel much nicer than plastic. The armrests also wobble a little at the front, which might get annoying. No worse though than other chairs I've experienced. At the highest adjustment, the headrest falls back down. So to get it to the highest possible position you have to guess where the second highest click of the ratchet is, so it won't fall when you let go. It's by design as this is mentioned in the instructions. You'd usually adjust it once then not again so it's not a big problem, just a little annoying. Maybe more of a problem if more than one person of different sizes regularly used the chair. The headrest tilt adjustment seems unnecessary unless you have a very alien shaped body, so it's fine that it's there, I just think they could have saved money by having it fixed. Having said that though, if you're a fat guy like me then your head wouldn't even reach the headrest so you could probably remove it and not notice (which would also negate the aforementioned rattle). In some positions I can feel the plastic through the mesh on the backrest, but it's only once I felt that. In normal use it's fine. Conclusion: It's worth the price as long as it doesn't start to creak later on with more use. I expect the gas lift to fail within a year, as they always do no matter what chair I buy, so I won't judge this chair on that and maybe this one will prove to be the exception. It's supposed to be a class 4 gas lift, although that's what my last chair had and I went through 3 of them in 3 years. A major annoyance when ordering this chair is that it's unclear which one you're actually ordering. It's probably more an Amazon issue than that of the manufacturer. You can choose which colour, but they are all different prices and in reality you're actually choosing the model. I chose dark grey as that's the only option that is the Atlas. There is also an Atlas-01 which is slightly cheaper and isn't the same, so why they'd use the same model name is beyond me. I can imagine lots of people searching for the Colamy Atlas, finding this page, then choosing a different colour that's cheaper and ending up with the wrong chair. It's typical of Amazon to create confusion like this.
