Holds 2-4 weeks of nappies at a time (depending on how much baby is producing!) and contains the smell almost completely. There's only been one time in three months that there's been any odor emanating from it, and that was during a heatwave. In comparison, the normal bin we use in the bedroom smells constantly.Bin itself is really nice quality and doesn't stain or discolour like cheaper plastic might. One refill bag more or less fills the bin, though you're really shoving the nappies in there towards the end. We've been using third-party refill bags as the branded ones are expensive.
