I broke my original supplied attached to helmet earmuffs during a cold winter night when using with my snow thrower. But the top of the earmuffs would strike the bottom of the helmet when worn. I just finished mowing one (1) acre lawn and these and they work much better than any of my others. So, I just now ordered a second pair from the same vendor. I have to heavily trim my trees and prune my many lilac bushes next week using my different sized chain saws, and reciprocating saw. Would these be suitable?** A: That's exactly what I use them for, but they can become uncomfortable after long periods of time. They're a little heavy, and they squeeze your head to stay on. You may be happier with a lighter model with a headband instead of the tensioned metal band. They don't block out all sound, they just greatly muffle it.
