I would research your hardiness zone and see how these individually would do they need cold winter to experience dormancy I believe depending on where you are in the state it’s between zones 6-8 so I would guess you should be fine. **Q: What is the approximate age of these small seedlings, and also approximate age for your medium seedlings? I understand all species grow different.** A: We sell seedlings in three sizes; small, med and XL They are up to one, two and three years old. I fully intend to get more over time to expand my new bonsai collection. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Bigger than expected, healthy little trees! *by B***P on February 18, 2020* Shipped and delivered much quicker than promised- always a nice surprise. They arrived well packaged. The trees are all extremely healthy looking, and are much bigger than expected. I'm excited to get to work on my bonsai. BUT, note that if you order deciduous trees in winter they will arrive without leaves! Please don't punish these poor folks with negative reviews because you don't know how plants work. I would happily order from them again. Will try and update my review in a month or so! Edit: 1-month check in, and I'm almost completely satisfied with these little trees! The oak, dawn redwood, and Japanese maple arrived without leaves and since then the redwood and maple have exploded with foliage! Both pines have vigorous new growth as well. However I'm starting to think that the oak arrived dead since the wood is very brittle and dry on the tips, and I haven't seen any new budding yet. Not to worry though- I'll give it another couple weeks and if it is still looking dead then, I'll take Jonsteen's up on their "free" replacement tree gaurentee ("free" because you still pay for shipping but I'll take it!). I've already started wiring the white pine, and am really happy with the interesting characteristics of all these trees. They are living indoors until things warm up a little more (it's been chilly overnight in Seattle lately), and I'm excited to work more on my new bonsais in the coming months and years! Edit 2: I got restless and contacted Jonsteens's the day after I posted the first update above... They asked for pictures of the oak, and following that shipped out a replacement (received 3 days after!). The new oak is beautiful and definitely alive. Very thankful for the wonderful customer service at Jonsteen's.
