Review: The perfect pasta for stuffed shells - I am so glad to have found these on desertcart - I had gone to so many stores trying to find them, without success. I enjoy making ricotta and spinach stuffed shells with marinara sauce, and these are just the right size, plus Barilla is an excellent brand. They are cost-effective and fit my needs perfectly. They made a great meal for 7 with leftovers using two boxes and some cheese and my own Sunday 6 hour gravy/sauce and meatballs. Added to boiling salted water then checking it after 7 minutes i can always test barilla's bite and adjust the cooking time without the worry of it going from rigid to mush in an instant. The change is gradual and the texture is easy to get spot on to whatever you are aiming for. i like it to have a slight bite to it so it still holds its shape well but is cooked through. I fish one shell out every minute or two and run it under cold water for a second then taste it for texture until i have it just about perfect, then as i drain it and add whatever i am adding to it it arrives at where i like it.

A: Hello, We do not consider our Jumbo Shells vegan since they are made on the same line as another product that does contain Eggs. the Product itself is not made with Egg Thou.  We do wash and sanitize our lines between each run and scrap one hours worth of production as well.

A: In general most pasta is vegan. Some Barrilla products (those in the Plus area) have egg whites. You would have to read the label.

I am so glad to have found these on Amazon - I had gone to so many stores trying to find them, without success.
