## Overview

The Sennheiser E 604 is a compact, cardioid dynamic microphone engineered for close miking of drums, percussion, and brass. Its clip-mount design enables precise placement directly on instruments, minimizing bleed and maximizing clarity. With a frequency response tailored to highlight attack transients and body, plus high SPL handling up to 160 dB, it delivers punchy, distortion-free sound in both live and studio environments. Supplied with a dedicated clip and pouch, it’s a ready-to-go professional solution for discerning audio engineers.

## Description

The Sennheiser e 604 is a compact dynamic cardioid microphone designed for professional instrument micing on drum kits, brass, and percussion. Its small body mounts directly to the instrument using the included MZH 604 clip, enabling precise, close-mic placement in positions where conventional stand-mounted microphones would be impractical. The cardioid polar pattern provides focused on-axis capture with strong rejection of off-axis sound, minimising bleed between kit elements and maintaining clear, defined signals in complex live and studio environments. The frequency response is shaped to emphasise the attack and body of percussive and brass sources, delivering mix-ready results with punch and definition. High SPL handling ensures accurate capture at close-mic positions on loud drum and brass sources without distortion. Supplied with the MZH 604 clip and a protective pouch, the e 604 is a complete, immediately deployable solution for engineers who demand reliable performance from their instrument microphone setup.
