I could easily run the Orange Pi 5 plus without plugging the fan. The highest temperature stays at 58 celsius degree with 95% of CPU usage. And it's price is cheap ### ⭐⭐⭐ Hard to install and doesn’t touch the chips without mods *by T***N on Reviewed in the United States on 4 January 2024* I don’t normally do reviews but I felt this was needed, don’t bother unless you’re handy and have resources to mod it.The fan it comes with is junk barely moves air at all, I used a 5v blower fan I had left over from another project.Stock the heat pads don’t make contact with the chips and the nvme drive isn’t level across so it doesn’t contact the bottom evenly. As you can see from my pics I used some spacers I 3d printed all M3 size off thiniverse, a 1mm for the nvme standoff and 7.6mm all around (even where there was no screw in the middle to keep the board from bending) and hand tightened them one turn at a time going crossways until it was all snug. It does look amazing though. I’ll post the cooling performance and name of the fan when I can update but I wouldn’t do it again if I was purchasing another one! They need to seriously update the design. ## Frequently Bought Together - for Pi 5 Plus Case Aluminum Alloy with Cooling Fan Heatsink Box Cover Protecion Shell for Or-g- Pi 5 Plus 4GB/8GB/16GB Metal Case Accessories - Orange Pi 5 Plus 16GB Rockchip RK3588 8 Core 64 Bit Single Board Computer, 2.4GHz Frequency Open Source Development Board Run Orange Pi OS, Android, Debian, Ubuntu (OPi 5 Plus 16G+5V4A TC Supply) - Orange Pi 5 Plus WiFi 6 Module Wireless Card 1201Mbps PCIe Wi-Fi6+BT5.2, Wireless Module R6 Support WiFi Bluetooth Compatible with Orange Pi 5 Plus Singble Board Computers --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.kg/products/613498846-howay-for-pi-5-plus-case-aluminum-alloy-with-cooling](https://www.desertcart.kg/products/613498846-howay-for-pi-5-plus-case-aluminum-alloy-with-cooling) --- *Product available on Desertcart Kyrgyzstan* *Store origin: KG* *Last updated: 2026-10-03*
