Moving on from taste and texture, the second biggest question with all peanut brittle is its presentation; i.e. how much of the package are actual bars or pulverized pieces. When I opened the package it was not a full bar of peanut brittle, it was broken down into smaller bars, but to my relief they were intact, and a good size. There were of course some crumbs, but I have never seen peanut brittle perfectly preserved in its packaging. Simply put, this is an ordinary risk when a product like this is shipped and handled. I assume mileage may vary box to box. I am pretty particular when it comes to my sweets, because I relegate my consumption in support of my overall diet.
