Ive used it for butchering a hog then slicing the bacon a few weeks later. I've limbed a tree. Ive broken down cardboard. Through it all its edge held up really well. I havent used it to process wood, but there was nothing that would indicate hot spots in the handle. In fact its really comfortable. My only gripe is pretty small. The sheath is made well in the sense that it holds the knife well and it stays on your belt....but. the sheath comes to a long awkward point. I think it would have been better if they had rounded the point or squared it up. Thick blade, well balanced, and SHARP right out of the box. And by sharp I mean shaving sharp! It was actually the first things I did upon taking it out of the packaging and it didn’t disappoint. As for durability I haven’t yet tested it in the great outdoors. However, based on what I’ve seen so far I expect it will live up to expectations. More to come on that. The sheath is a Kydex type material and well made, with a belt clip that is adjustable to the width of your belt. I wear a 2” wide belt and thought at first that it wouldn’t fit, but there are removable spacers that, once removed, fit to my belt perfectly. It does sit quite high due to the belt clip location so I will be using either a leg strap or attaching to a molle system.
