God bless Bishop Olmsted for exhorting Catholic men to actually BE MEN! What a revolutionary idea in the modern Vatican II church, which teaches men to be effeminate, "tolerant," and "inclusive." And it's no wonder; many of the hierarchy that was involved in the Council have-thank God!-been exposed as homosexuals and pederasts. I've never read anything from Bishop Olmsted before now, but I look forward to reading more. The Manual for Men begins with a call to the Church MILITANT to remember that we are at war, and that, as Catholic men, it is our God-given duty to fight. Copious quotations from Scripture and, yes, unfortunately too many modern VII "saints," are included as an example of our role as Catholic brothers, fathers, and soldiers for Christ. I'm only a few pages in, so far; I'm approaching this as I would lectio divina, carefully reading to let it fully sink in. It's that good already! I've skimmed around, though, and I can tell the is a wealth of information in this volume.
