I use these for pull-ups, toes to bar, etc. as well as barbell movements. They're good for a few reasons. They are thin, so you get a good grip without bulk. They protect you from callouses and ripped skin. The palms have grippy silicone to help when your grip strength is trailing off. Overall, I loved the design of the gloves but I felt that they were missing additional gripping, particularly around the fingers and in the palms.I came across these at a sporting goods' store but they didn't have the size that I needed (Small), so I decided to go on ahead and purchase these from Amazon, where I essentially purchase everything. These gloves are exactly what I was looking for, plus I don't have to wear another pair of garish pink gloves.I lift weights 6x a week and have yet to have these tear on me after a month of heavy use. The only downside is that the velcro strap is incredibly annoying, as I find that it digs into my wrists.
