I have IBS with constipation, and while I don’t think the bloating was directly related to that, the monohydrate just made me feel overly full and uncomfortable—so I had to stop taking it. That’s when my brother recommended the HCL version, and I’m so glad I listened. Since switching, I’ve had zero bloating, no belly issues, and the best part? You only need a smaller dose to get results, so it feels easier on the body and possibly safer in the long run. I’ve been taking it for about a week and a half, and I can already feel my strength returning, especially in my legs after a period of underuse aside from hormonal body changes, affecting my muscles, causing me distress. I use this in place of monohydrate because of sleep issues. I’ve been using it for years and find it mixes well and dissolves completely in a shaker cup. There are no clumps, the taste is good and it’s been effective for me.
