Use ONLY with a solar regulator to protect the battery (a low cost precaution available from desertcart). Also, if used for lighting independent of the grid and dependent on illumination requirement, use a photocell to decide when the current is needed AND have a digital timer (also available from desertcart) to program turn-on and turn-off times so the battery is used efficiently. FINALLY, use at least a 150 watt solar input panel to provide daytime recharge. Review: 5 Years and Still Going Strong - I've been using this battery since 2016 to power my 12 volt DC truck fridge/freezer. - The battery sees about 2 to 3 weeks of daily use each year and occasional use to recharge power tool batteries via an inverter when 110 AC isn't available.. - I never let it get below 12.1 volts when in use. - In between trips, I leave it connected to an indoor 8 stage charger/maintainer. The battery weighs about 45 lbs. - maybe a couple pounds less. Definitely ready to move on to a LiPO4 battery, but for my purposes, the VMAX SLR60 definitely get the job done. ## Features - 9.2"*5.5"*8.2"h Heavy Duty 12V AGM DEEP CYCLE BATTERY.Float Service Life span of 5 to 8 years. - Charge using AC, Solar or Wind Power - Float Service Life span of 8 to 10 years - AGM with 99% recombination capabilities; no dangerous fumes or gases. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B006FLORO8 | | Battery Capacity | 60 amp_hours | | Battery Cell Composition | Lead-Acid, AGM | | Battery Type | Lead-Acid, AGM | | Best Sellers Rank | #752,562 in Health & Household ( See Top 100 in Health & Household ) #6,755 in 12V Batteries | | Brand | VMAXTANKS | | Brand Name | VMAXTANKS | | Compatible with Vehicle Type | Boat | | Customer Reviews | 5.0 out of 5 stars 4 Reviews | | Item Weight | 45 pounds | | Manufacturer | VMAXTANKS | | Manufacturer Part Number | SLR60 | | Manufacturer Warranty Description | 1 YEAR | | Model Number | SLR60 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Terminal | Marine Terminal | | UPC | 729440725037 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Vehicle Service Type | Boat | | Voltage | 12 volts | ## Images ![VMAXTANKS VMAX Solar Battery SLR60 AGM 60ah 12V Wind Power Backup Boat Lift & Solar AGM Group 22 NF Battery - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81lEAV9ryXL.jpg) ![VMAXTANKS VMAX Solar Battery SLR60 AGM 60ah 12V Wind Power Backup Boat Lift & Solar AGM Group 22 NF Battery - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81+jG-3wwRL.jpg) ![VMAXTANKS VMAX Solar Battery SLR60 AGM 60ah 12V Wind Power Backup Boat Lift & Solar AGM Group 22 NF Battery - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71K7HJ50epL.jpg) ![VMAXTANKS VMAX Solar Battery SLR60 AGM 60ah 12V Wind Power Backup Boat Lift & Solar AGM Group 22 NF Battery - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81MISpn-7mL.jpg) ![VMAXTANKS VMAX Solar Battery SLR60 AGM 60ah 12V Wind Power Backup Boat Lift & Solar AGM Group 22 NF Battery - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/8134AnQKHcL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Keep charge above 50% *by J***Y on May 15, 2020* Durable and reliable IF overcharge and discharge is controlled.
