There is actually a small bracket that you screw into the wall first and then slide the holdback onto it. **Q: Could you attach these to the wall with command strips? I am renting and cannot drill into the wall.** A: They are fairly light and seem to have enough flat surface for a command strip, so as long as the curtains aren't too heavy, I think you could get away with it, yes. **Q: What color are they? Silver or nickel?** A: Nickel.
