Review: Easily the best design and most competent insulator - I brought one home from Germany a few years ago. We fought over it constantly, so it was a relief to be able to get more on desertcart. It keeps drinks hot for a long time - I sometimes have to cool drinks slightly before I pour in, or we're waiting a couple of hours to be able to drink. The push button is ultra-secure, so no leaks. They are sturdy - I've dropped them repeatedly and they are still in "as new" shape. The 500ml is best for us and is still easy to fit into my tote. I'm buying another, not because one has broken after 2-3 years of constant use, but just because they are sometimes in the dishwasher when needed - they clean so easily. I have never seen a better designed travel mug and they are well worth the mini-investment for insulation, design, size and ease of cleaning - perfect, in fact.

I did note that in the information leaflet it says that it's not suitable for keeping milk products or infant formula because of the risk of bacterial contamination, I don't know how this sits with adding milk to my coffee or tea but I do. It is also not suitable for carbonated drinks or dry ice but you can add ice cubes, and it is not suitable for use in a microwave.

**Q: Have bought this mug but cannot get the lid off. Please advise . Thanks**
A: The whole black top part just screws off. It's a pretty tight vacuum so it helps to press in the button in the center before opening. If it's still stuck you can remove part of the top inner section to help get a bit more grip (the ridge that goes across the top twists out), but it should just twist off with a bit of elbow grease. **Q: To seal this do you just twist the lid shut or do you have to press the button in the middle?**
A: I have two of these and just twist them shut and then check the central button is closed so it doesn’t leak. They are by far my favourite insulated mug. The design helps to prevent burnt lips and spills when sipping.

**Q: Is there anyway to get a replacement lid?**
A: only if you buy 3 additional mugs.

A: As far as I'm aware they are actually produced in Germany.

Great cup although slightly on the heavy side, but not really a problem. Keeps my coffee hot to warm over a couple of hours but I use water just off the boil, so would stay hot for a good couple of hours if using boiling water. Good quality and well made. What stands out this this cup, unlike other similar ones I have, this one the lid can be taken apart to give it a thorough clean inside to stop build up of what ever, which is great! Totally recommend!
