This works great since the nails are filed and not cut. We have small dogs, so I don't know if you would get the same results with larger dogs with larger nails. And they're black which makes them hard to clip because it's hard to see the quick. This file grinds them down nicely and safely. I never see blood. Each head lasts months and there are 12 in this pack, so we're talking about 3 years worth of filing for this low price. Where the pets go charges $10 a filing which isn't bad. But my dog has to be done at least once a month which is $120 a year. These heads are a savings of about $355. More importantly, my dog freaks out when strangers try to touch her. It's very stressful for her. She's OK when I do the filing. So, this tool is about more than the money.
