When the results came back one of the most glaring issues was my blood iron (ferritin) level. Ideal levels for a woman my age should be 100-150+ ug/L. My level was 18!! The doctor asked me how I managed to get out of bed in the morning and how I can go up and down stairs without fainting, let alone live my life! It's amazing how you can get used to such a poor quality of life when it creeps up on you and you don't know any different. I immediately started taking iron at triple the recommended dose to make up for my severe deficiency and stop the 'iron leak' I seem to have in my body. After bouncing around between a few different supplements, I have settled on this one and I love it! I take 2 per day (that's what my doctor recommended even though the bottle says 1) and I no longer get dizzy and light headed, I don't bruise as easily as I used to and I just feel so much better over all!
