Being the only difference the cables distance (the longer one was traveling from the house front side all the way to the back, should be at least some 50'), I looked for an amplifier and got this one. Once installed, both TVs now show the same channels and with good quality. It works well. I have an attic antenna, the shorter line got an okay signal, the longer line was moderate, bad weather would impact the ability to watch some channels. I just hooked it up and my tv is now showing an extra "bar" of signal on those weak channels and I received about 10ish channels I didn't know existed until today. I would recommend this product if you're on the fringe of getting signals / have to boost a longer split run.Note: you will need a bit of coax to run power to the splitter from wherever you have it plugged in.
