It’s light and a little work hoarse even though its battery driven, its amazing to not deal with gas and ruckus for simple yard stuff. Review: Pretty handy for up to 6-8" branches - Cuts good, but like most leaks oil. When I'm not going to use for awhile pour it back into bottle ## Features - 40V NEW DESIGN CHAINSAW – New looking and perfect for homeowners and occasional users - 12" BAR AND CHAIN – Low kickback safety chain with hand guard for added protection - AUTOMATIC OILER - applies oil to bar and chain when needed to ensure durability and optimal use - TOOL-LESS TENSIONING – For easy bar and chain maintenance - EASY TO USE – Electric start, no gas or fumes, no carburetor, no spark plug, and no starter rope ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B09Y6T3TZ3 | | Best Sellers Rank | #26,612 in Patio, Lawn & Garden ( See Top 100 in Patio, Lawn & Garden ) #113 in Power Chain Saws | | Brand | Greenworks | | Brand Name | Greenworks | | Chain Length | 12 inches | | Customer Reviews | 4.0 out of 5 stars 145 Reviews | | Horsepower | 1 | | Included Components | Chainsaw | | Item Dimensions L x W x H | 23.15"L x 6.77"W x 9.06"H | | Item Type Name | Chainsaw | | Item Weight | 2.72 kg | | Manufacturer | Greenworks | | Manufacturer Part Number | CS40B00 | | Model Number | CS40B00 | | Power Source | Battery Powered | | Product Dimensions | 23.15"L x 6.77"W x 9.06"H | | UPC | 841821087623 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Greenworks - **Power Source:** Battery Powered - **Horsepower:** 3.5 - **Item Weight:** 6 Pounds - **Product Dimensions:** 25"L x 8.3"W x 12"H - **Chain Length:** 12 Inches - **Global Trade Identification Number:** 00841821011116 - **Manufacturer:** Greenworks - **UPC:** 841821011116 ## Images ![Greenworks 40V 12" Cordless Compact Chainsaw (Great For Storm Clean-Up, Pruning, and Camping), Tool Only - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61jgRe5hvgL.jpg) ![Greenworks 40V 12" Cordless Compact Chainsaw (Great For Storm Clean-Up, Pruning, and Camping), Tool Only - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81VMfvIA1LL.jpg) ![Greenworks 40V 12" Cordless Compact Chainsaw (Great For Storm Clean-Up, Pruning, and Camping), Tool Only - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81JjwpUXTyL.jpg) ![Greenworks 40V 12" Cordless Compact Chainsaw (Great For Storm Clean-Up, Pruning, and Camping), Tool Only - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81Wk0AR67UL.jpg) ![Greenworks 40V 12" Cordless Compact Chainsaw (Great For Storm Clean-Up, Pruning, and Camping), Tool Only - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81wYlIA+lmL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Pattern, Size** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: What scenarios is this chainsaw suitable for?** A: It’s perfect for storm clean-up (clearing fallen branches), daily tree pruning, and even camping wood cutting—its 12-inch bar handles small-to-medium tasks, while the lightweight body works well both in yards and outdoors. **Q: How long does the battery last, and what else can it do?** A: The 2.0Ah 40V battery supports up to 50 cuts on 4x4 inch wood per charge. It also acts as a portable power bank: you can charge devices like iPhone 8 (8 times) or iPad Mini (3 times) when camping. **Q: Is it easy to maintain and operate?** A: Absolutely! It has tool-less auto tension (adjust the chain quickly without tools) and an automatic oiler (keeps the bar/chain lubricated). The wrap-around handle also lets you hold it in multiple positions for comfort. **Q: What safety features does it have, and is it easy to carry?** A: It uses a double safety design (you need to press both the trigger and lock button to start) to avoid accidental activation; the low-kickback bar reduces risk. Plus, it only weighs 6.0 lbs (2.7 kg)—super portable for long-time use. **Q: What does it come with, and can the battery be used for other tools?** A: It includes a 3-year for both the tool and battery. The 40V battery is compatible with over 75 Greenworks tools (like lawn mowers, blowers, etc.), making it a cost-effective choice for yard care. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I freaking love this little guy (40V 12” cordless chainsaw) *by B***R on July 12, 2026* only gripe I have is it didn’t come with a clamp on sharpener, I’ve used it so much already shy of a year. It’s light and a little work hoarse even though its battery driven, its amazing to not deal with gas and ruckus for simple yard stuff. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pretty handy for up to 6-8" branches *by K***N on November 2, 2024* Cuts good, but like most leaks oil. When I'm not going to use for awhile pour it back into bottle ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Really nice for smaller jobs *by J***F on January 6, 2025* This product has been great. I even made a video reviewing it (enjoy our yard on youtube). It's perfect for smaller jobs. I was able to cut through a 6 inch trunk with no problems. I've used it for the whole summer and the chain came off a few times. Very easy to put back on. The tension knob makes any adjustments very easy to keep the chain tension. I already had some greenworks batteries so it made the decision very easy. I had an electric craftsmen saw but it was a pain when the chain came off. I didn't want a gas powered one as I only use it maybe a handful of times per season. This has been amazing! ## Frequently Bought Together - Greenworks 40V 12" Cordless Compact Chainsaw (Great For Storm Clean-Up, Pruning, and Camping), 2.0Ah Battery and Charger Included - Opuladuo 2PC 12 Inch Chainsaw Chain for Greenworks 40V 20262 20292 Chainsaw, 12" Replacement Chain for Sun Joe SWJ698E 9A Chain Saw - 3/8" - .050" - 45 DL - DEWALT Biodegradable Chainsaw Oil – High Performance, Non Toxic Professional Lubricant – Green, Eco-Friendly, Ultraclean, All Season Bar & Chain Lube, 16 oz --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.kg/products/5852932-greenworks-40v-12-cordless-compact-chainsaw-great-for-storm-clean](https://www.desertcart.kg/products/5852932-greenworks-40v-12-cordless-compact-chainsaw-great-for-storm-clean) --- *Product available on Desertcart Kyrgyzstan* *Store origin: KG* *Last updated: 2026-10-06*
