Review: Anbernic Quality Ultra Portable - This device is very small and borders on being a novelty. I thought I would just show it off as a party trick and not play it much, but the fact that it is inconsequential to carry makes it perfect for gaming on the go. I carry it every day and I’m always pulling it out for 5 to 15 minute sessions in waiting rooms, lines, and before meetings. It has a very small square screen, so I’ve found that Gameboy, Gameboy Color, Game Gear, and Neo Geo Pocket Color are the best systems to emulate on it. If you have other handhelds for more serious gaming then this is the perfect companion. Have fun playing Pokemon, Zelda, and Tetris in the most unexpected places!
Review: Tiny, Metal Gameboy - I love the metal shell, and buttons are tiny but responsive. Makes a great secondary device with a noob friendly launcher. Note that most games will be stretched or have black bars. Most important, I find it fun to use and share with people.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Anbernic Quality Ultra Portable

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Tiny, Metal Gameboy
*by A***R on 3 September 2025*

I love the metal shell, and buttons are tiny but responsive. Makes a great secondary device with a noob friendly launcher. Note that most games will be stretched or have black bars. Most important, I find it fun to use and share with people.

### ⭐⭐⭐ Cute small device, but needs improvements
*by S***E on 13 January 2024*

I like the idea of a small gameboy-like emulator that can play games between the NES and PS1, however, there are a few flaws I have had when I received it. First, navigating the menus are confusing because the button functions are different in each category. For example, in the Game Emulator menu, the "Back" button is START, but when in the Media menu, the "Back" function is START + SELECT and the device does not give clear instructions what to press. Secondly, although it has a Huge selection of games, I have noticed that a lot of them (I have not tested all of them yet) are in Japanese, even if you choose the English options for both the device and/or the games language upon boot-up. This makes playing some games, like the Final Fantasy series confusing because I cannot read Japanese. I had to uninstall these games and download English versions of the games and reinstalled them. Thirdly, I have noticed that while playing for extended times, the device itself tends to get a bit hot. I'm worried that it might get hot enough to burn tiny hands. However, I have noticed that if you reduce the Brightness and Volume levels, it does not warm up as quickly. Just something to note. The device is good but again, could use some improvements. Overall, I would rate this at a 6/10. A good buy, but not a priority.
